Being a property owner is a tremendous responsibility. And during these difficult economic times, it is important that each and every person is treated fairly.
As a commissioner for the Cook County Board of Review since 1988, I have seen thousands of homeowners appeal their over-assessed properties. That's why I recently went to Springfield where I lobbied for the "Emergency Residential Relief Act."
As your next Cook County assessor, I promise that I will work hard to make sure that each Cook County property owner receives a fair assessment and pays their fair share – no more, no less.
